| On the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, the French Office in Taipei has the honor of hosting, on Friday, March 6, an evening dedicated to the role of women in resilience-related sectors, in partnership with the National Human Rights Commission, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Taiwan, and La French Tech Taiwan.
It will bring together institutional leaders, civil society actors, as well as representatives from the business and non-profit sectors engaged in promoting gender equality and resilience. Tentative Schedule 🔹 Panel discussion (5:00–6:30 PM) Confirmed panelists include Ms Liu Wen (Chairperson, Kuma Academy), Legislator Fan Yun, and representatives from the Awakening Foundation and the Taipei Women’s Rescue Foundation. 🔹 Speed mentoring session (7-8:00 PM) Conducted in English, the speed mentoring session will bring together women professionals working in strategic sectors, including semiconductors, healthcare, sustainability, and fintech. The session will be structured around short rotating discussions, offering participants the opportunity to exchange on career paths, leadership challenges, and opportunities in cross-border and strategic industries. Confirmed mentors include Ms Linda Chang (Deputy Director Asia-Pacific, ECM Greentech), Ms Anne Kwang (Director of the Depollution Business Line, Veolia Taiwan), Ms Emilia Chen (Founder, Formosa Impact Circle and PolygonSearch), and Ms Ching-Hua Lin Rosengard, (Co-President, La French Tech Taiwan & Founder, DigiFashion Forum). 📌 Registration is not yet open. |
Organizers:

The French Office in Taipei (Bureau Français de Taipei) represents French interests across political, economic, cultural, and scientific domains. The office facilitates bilateral cooperation, supports French citizens in Taiwan, and promotes exchanges- including agreements on human rights cooperation with Taiwanese institutions like the National Human Rights Commission.

The National Human Rights Commission (國家人權委員會) is Taiwan’s statutory national human rights institution, established to promote and protect human rights in Taiwan and to align with the UN Paris Principles for national human rights institutions. Its mandate includes monitoring rights implementation across government agencies, investigating rights violations, and advancing education on human rights norms.

The CCIFT represents and supports the French business community in Taiwan, fostering bilateral trade and investment. Through its activities in strategic industries, corporate responsibility, and sustainable business practices, it contributes to discussions on economic resilience, ESG, and gender equality in the workplace.

La French Tech Taiwan is the official French Tech community in Taiwan, connecting French and Taiwanese startup ecosystems. It supports innovation in strategic and high-impact sectors, including digital technologies, sustainability, and resilient supply chains, while promoting inclusive entrepreneurship and diversity in tech.
