Global Pathfinders France 2026 – Innovation & Start-ups

A two-week immersion into France’s innovation ecosystem coordinated by La French Tech Taiwan

Since 2025, La French Tech Taiwan has been entrusted by the French Office in Taipei to design and coordinate the Global Pathfinders France – Innovation & Start-ups Program, a two-week immersion into France’s innovation ecosystem for a delegation of young Taiwanese participants.

As part of Taiwan’s Global Pathfinders Program, an initiative launched by the Ministry of Education to strengthen international engagement and empower young people to develop global perspectives, the program provides participants with first-hand exposure to France’s innovation landscape, entrepreneurship ecosystem, public innovation policies, research institutions, and startup support structures.

Through international exchanges, professional immersion, and direct interactions with ecosystem leaders, participants explore how innovation is developed, supported, financed, and scaled within one of Europe’s leading startup ecosystems.Hosted in Paris from 7 to 22 June 2026, the program combines institutional visits, ecosystem discovery, meetings with innovation stakeholders, and participation in one of Europe’s largest technology events: Viva Technology 2026.

La French Tech Taiwan’s Role

La French Tech Taiwan is responsible for the design and operational coordination of the Innovation & Start-ups pathway.

Through initiatives such as Global Pathfinders, La French Tech Taiwan contributes to building lasting relationships between future Taiwanese leaders and the French innovation community while promoting greater mutual understanding between both ecosystems.


The program is led in France by Adrien Malguy, a Paris-based innovation professional whose career bridges culture, design, technology, entrepreneurship and international cooperation.

His international experience includes professional assignments in Japan and Norway, academic leadership in digital strategy programs, journalism focused on innovation and technology, and participation as a jury member for startup competitions. Between 2018 and 2022, he lived in Taiwan, where he worked with local innovation stakeholders, including Taiwan Tech Arena, and helped develop exchange programs between France and Taiwan.

Today, Adrien contributes to the Fab City movement in Paris while continuing to support international innovation collaborations. His multidisciplinary background and deep understanding of both the French and Taiwanese innovation ecosystems make him uniquely positioned to guide participants throughout their immersion experience.


Highlights of the Program

Viva Technology 2026

A central component of the program is participation in Viva Technology 2026, one of Europe’s largest annual technology and startup events.

Held in Paris, VivaTech brings together startups, investors, corporates, public institutions, technology leaders and innovators from around the world to showcase emerging technologies, foster international partnerships and discuss the future of innovation.

The 2026 edition is expected to welcome:

The delegation also visits the Taiwan Pavilion and participates in networking opportunities bringing together French and Taiwanese innovation stakeholders.

Station F

Participants visit Station F, the world’s largest startup campus and one of Europe’s most iconic innovation hubs. Home to thousands of entrepreneurs, investors and startup support programs, Station F provides a unique perspective on how France supports startup creation, scaling and international expansion. The visit offers participants direct exposure to entrepreneurial ecosystems, venture capital dynamics and innovation support mechanisms.

During the visit in 2026, participants meet representatives from Mission French Tech, the French government’s initiative dedicated to supporting and promoting the national startup ecosystem. Juan Vargas-Piamonte, International Ecosystems Officer at Mission French Tech, introduces the French Tech ecosystem, its international network and its ambitions for global collaboration.The delegation also exchanges with Pierre Rouchayrole, Policy Advisor for Digital Industries at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, who shares insights into France’s digital strategy and highlights areas of growing cooperation between France and Taiwan, including artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and emerging digital industries.

Paris-Saclay Innovation Ecosystem

The program includes a dedicated visit to the Paris-Saclay innovation cluster, one of Europe’s leading research and technology ecosystems.

Bringing together world-class universities, research institutions, startups and industrial partners, Paris-Saclay illustrates how research excellence, entrepreneurship and industrial innovation interact to create globally competitive innovation ecosystems.


Ecosystem Visits & Institutional Exchanges

Throughout the program, participants engage with a diverse range of organizations representing different dimensions of the French innovation ecosystem, including:

Innovation extends beyond technology alone.

The program therefore explores the intersections between innovation, culture, creativity and social impact through visits to museums, digital art institutions, makerspaces, social innovation projects, collaborative urban initiatives and third places across Paris.

This multidisciplinary approach allows participants to better understand how innovation shapes society, culture and public life.
