Event Description

While many startups still treat accessibility as a compliance burden, the European market is rapidly turning it into a competitive advantage and market entry requirement.

With the European Accessibility Act (EAA) taking effect, digital products and services that do not meet accessibility expectations may face barriers to entering the EU market, partnering with enterprise clients, or building international trust.

The most forward-thinking startups are not waiting for compliance pressure.
They are integrating accessibility directly into product strategy, UX workflows, and technical foundations early — not only for compliance, but for growth, differentiation, and scalability.

In this 45-minute session, we will explore:

  • Why accessibility is becoming a market entry requirement in Europe
  • How the EAA impacts SaaS, AI products, apps, platforms, and hardware
  • Common accessibility blind spots in startup product development
  • How startups can build accessibility-ready workflows with limited resources
  • Why accessibility is not just CSR, but a product and business strategy
  • Why Asian startups still have a strategic first-mover opportunity

We will also introduce how startups can operationalize this through a practical approach: the A11y MVP framework — four steps, three weeks, less than one sprint.

This is not a technical WCAG lecture.
It is a strategic session designed for founders, product teams, designers, and innovators building globally competitive products.
