Our speakers ⬇️

FAN Yun

Yun Fan is a sociologist, politician, and advocate for gender equality in Taiwan.
She has served as a DPP legislator-at-large since February 2020 and previously worked as a roving ambassador for Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2015, she founded the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and ran as a legislative candidate in Taipei’s Daan district the following year.
Beyond politics, Yun Fan has been a strong advocate for women’s rights. She led the 1990 “Wild Lily” student movement and later served as president of the Awakening Foundation, a leading feminist organization in Taiwan dedicated to fighting gender discrimination and empowering women.

KUO Chiayo

Chiayo Kuo is the founder and president of the Taiwan Digital Diplomacy Association (TDDA) and serves on multiple government and media committees, including the Whole-of-Society Defense Resilience Committee at the Presidential Office and the Human Rights Committee at the Ministry of the Interior.
Passionate about digital diplomacy, she works to strengthen Taiwan’s international presence through social networking advocacy and global partnerships. Under her leadership (2018–2024), TDDA has amplified Taiwan’s voice across 350+ media outlets in 25 countries. Recognized for her impact, Chiayo was named a Tatler Gen.T 2023 honoree and featured in The New York Times for her contributions to international affairs.

LEE Yen-Jong

Yen-Jong Lee is a lawyer, politician, and advocate for gender equality in Taiwan. She is the Director of the Department for Gender Equality at the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and leads her own law firm, Y.J. Lee & Associates. Previously, she served as a DPP spokesperson and was a member of the Ill-Gotten Party Assets Settlement Committee.
With degrees in law, sociology, and gender studies from National Taiwan University, EHESS, and Paris-Nanterre University, Lee has been a strong voice for human rights and social justice. She also ran as a Green Alliance candidate in the 2016 parliamentary elections, reinforcing her commitment to progressive change.

MIAO Po-Ya

Po-Ya Miao is a politician, media commentator, and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, democracy, and social justice in Taiwan, she is Taipei’s first openly LGBTQ+ city councilor. A strong advocate for democracy, gender equality, and social justice, she also hosts a show on Yahoo TV and is a regular columnist for Apple Daily.
She leads the Taipei City Council’s Transport Committee and champions policies on education reform, net-zero emissions, and urban renewal. Active in global diplomacy, she has participated in the U.S. State Department’s IVLP and the EU’s EUVP program, promoting Taiwan’s democratic values worldwide.

Cynthia CHANG

Cynthia Chang is the Taiwan Office Director at Tweener, a French design and engineering agency.
Before joining Tweener, she managed sales activities with European and US customers and oversaw company operations at a composite sports equipment manufacturer as the exclusive assistant to the president. This experience enhanced her management skills, cross-department coordination, and ability to navigate both Western and Asian work cultures.
At Tweener, she leads efforts to promote Eco-Design in Taiwan and across Asia, providing sustainable solutions in design and engineering. Passionate about driving change, she is committed to contributing to a greener future.

Ming Lung CHANG

Ming Lung Chang holds an MBA in Project Management from IAE Nantes and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from National Chengchi University.
Since 2022, she has been Director at EDF Renouvelables Taiwan, leading efforts to expand clean energy solutions in the region. She is a business development executive specializing in renewable energy and strategic growth with a diverse background spanning marketing, public relations, and journalism.
Previously, she held key roles at CGN Europe Energy, overseeing business development and strategy in Paris.

Melody CHEN

With a strong foundation in Western and Chinese medicine and a Master’s in Advanced Pharmaceutical Engineering from Mines Albi, Melody Chen brings a multidisciplinary perspective to healthcare and technology innovation.
She has two years of R&D experience in medical device companies, specializing in research, development, and regulatory processes. Currently, as a Data Analyst at Air Liquide in Hsinchu—a key hub for the semiconductor industry—she drives strategic initiatives and digital transformation through data analytics.
Passionate about integrating medical science, engineering, and technology, she is committed to advancing innovative solutions and supporting women in tech through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Victoria HUANG

Victoria has served as the Section Chief at the National Science and Technology Council since 2021, where she is responsible for projects related to net-zero emissions technologies and sustainability.
With 14 years of experience working for the government of Taiwan, her expertise spans energy and entrepreneurship, and she has represented the Taiwanese government at numerous international meetings and organizations. Notably, she also served as the Senior Science and Technology Officer at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston.
In 2020, Victoria was honored with the Order of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the French Government in recognition of her work in fostering collaboration between Taiwan and France’s startup ecosystems.
Victoria is deeply committed to her work and takes great pride in balancing her professional accomplishments with her role as a mother.

Eva LEIHENER-STEFAN

Eva holds an MBA from ESCP Europe (Paris/Oxford/Berlin) and Universitaet Rgensburg (Germany).
Her amazing 25+ years career in L’Oréal brought her across East and West, in France, Germany, Australia and now Taiwan as a CEO.
She is passionate about creating the beauty that moves the world.

Cerise PHIV

Cerise Phiv is the Customer Success Manager (CSM) at Symaps.io, a French startup that develops intelligent geolocation software used by retailers, franchises, and brands to optimize their physical expansion and distribution strategies.
Symaps is a fully remote company, and Cerise is well-versed in the challenges and benefits of remote work. She can share insights on how to build a strong company culture, foster collaboration across time zones, and maintain work-life balance in a remote-first environment. Beyond her work at Symaps, Cerise is also the Co-President of La French Tech Taiwan, a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing French technological innovations and strengthening ties between startups and innovation ecosystems in France and Taiwan.
She is particularly committed to promoting gender diversity in tech and advocating for greater representation of women in startups.

Dr. Cho Hsin SU

Dr. Cho-Hsin Su is an Associate Professor in the Department of Diplomacy at National Chengchi University (NCCU), specializing in regional integration, the European Union, and international relations theory.
She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Panthéon-Assas University and has received multiple Teaching Excellence Awards at NCCU. From 2021 to 2023, she served as Director of the International Master’s Program in International Studies, further contributing to academic leadership in international affairs.
