Selected startups will pitch on June 5th afternoon at Taiwan Tech Arena in Taipei and the winners will be sponsored to go to France in November.
YEi Start in France, started in 2005, is an acceleration programme from the French Ministry of Foreign affairs, designed to help foreign deeptech startups to develop their project in France and grow their business in Europe.
It provides an intensive training in Paris and one free immersion week in France that will allow laureates to benefit from of an extensive customized business network and connections with the best resources in France in their fields.
The competition accepts applications from startups incorporated in the US, in Italy, in South Africa, South Korea, Finland… and Taiwan!
In 2018, we are proud to receive a major support from Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), so we are able to sponsor 6 taiwanese startups in 2018!
The Programme
This year YEi Taiwan will select 6 innovative deeptech startups from Taiwan and introduce them to YEI Start in France acceleration program. Each of the selected Taiwanese startup will be sponsored for a trip to France for one person from Nov. 5 to Nov. 9, 2018 to follow an immersive customized programme (seminars, B2B, networking, pitch, visits…).
The covered expenses include:
Application
Criteria of eligibility:
Less than 30 employees
Less than 2M USD turn over in 2017
Any technology fields (deeptech)
Technological startups, which would benefit from partnering with French companies / research organisations
Motivated entrepreneur willing to spend one week in France (cofounder or CEO / Taiwanese or French only)
Mature startup: at least with a prototype or a working app/service (from TRL5).
Taiwan based company (HQ)
Previous YEi laureates are not elligible
Timeline 2018:
April 16th: Applications open
May 24th: Application deadline
May 28th: Announcement of the preselected candidates who will participate in the final (online jury, see below)
June 5th afternoon: Final selection based on Elevator pitches in Taipei (final jury). Announcement of the 6 winners
